Muhammad's homeland was a place called Mecca. After a while, Mecca, became a rich wealthy, city. Muhammad believed in giving to the poor and others, which rich merchants' or leaders didn't like at all. After a short period, he was kicked out of Mecca for his teachings, but Medina, another city, welcomed Muhammad with open arms. There he showed about Islam, and people started to accept Islam more. After Mecca accepted Islam as a religion, there was more peace. according to Islamic beliefs, everyone had to, if possible, travel to Mecca during their life, for it was where Muhammad first made contact with the angel.
